Left Nav – Dynamic

Left Nav - Dynamic is a module that is aware of the taxonomy for the page that it's on and returns an alphabetical list of sub-categories automatically.

Production Examples

Links that have been generated dynamically and listed alphabetically in the left had column of the page (not to be confused with filters), that allow users to navigate to subpages.

When Do I Use This?

This is good to use when there are many sub categories beneath the current category. (see research below) This is typically used on soft lines vertical pages and not on hard lines vertical pages.

This is an industry wide standard way of exposing categories as navigation.

Softlines Vertical Testing

Left hand navigation performed poorly for hardlines verticals and Bed Bath Home, but performed well on all other softlines verticals.
